Northburn Steelbands is a leading community based music and arts charity that provides steelpan music tuition and performance opportunities for the children, young people and adults of Cramlington, Northumberland. Our performing band is more affectionately known as "Cramlington Caribbean Crew Steelband".

 

We promote the art of the steelpan and Caribbean culture through inclusive projects bringing the members of our community together. We provide music tuition that is accessible to all abilities and which brings the members of our local community together to share in a passion that promotes positive health and wellbeing and builds confidence and self esteem.

For the last 15 years, we have become a recognised and valued asset to the arts and cultural community of Cramlington. As a registered charity, we regularly support other local charities and organisations, have worked with many local schools delivering various projects and provide a Youth Music Leader Training Programme for young people aged 13-18.
